Holiday World Wins Two Indiana Tourism Awards – Will Bring Back Dinosaurs

SANTA CLAUS, IND. – Indiana’s annual tourism conference was held March 16–18 in Indianapolis, where more than 370 tourism leaders from across the state gathered for networking, professional development, and the Indiana Tourism Awards.

The Indiana Tourism Awards honor tourism organizations that demonstrate creativity, innovation, and strong return on investment. Holiday World walked away with two awards this year: Best New Experience and Best New Merchandise.

“We’re truly grateful for this recognition,” said Eric Snow, Chief Marketing Officer at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari. “Our team pours their hearts into creating unforgettable moments for our Guests, and it’s rewarding to see that dedication honored.”

Holiday World received Best New Experience for its addition of the Dinosaur Corn Maze Adventure and Dinos Soar in the Sky drone show during Happy Halloween Weekends. The dinosaur theme was so popular that it will return in 2026.

“We love feedback from our Guests, and they were loud and clear about their enthusiasm for dinosaurs last year,” said Lauren Crosby, Fourth-Generation Owner & Director of Entertainment & Events. “We are excited to bring a brand-new batch of dinosaurs, a new corn maze design, and an entirely new dinos drone show to Holiday World this fall!”

The team also earned Best New Merchandise for its 25 Years of Free Unlimited Soft Drinks commemorative cup set.

Holiday World opens for its 80th season in May. To celebrate the park’s milestone birthday this summer, the operating calendar has been expanded, and several fan-favorite events and entertainment offerings will return, including the Holidays in the Sky Drone and Fireworks Spectacular, the Dino Corn Maze Adventure, the Nerveless Nocks stunt show, and the Summer Wine’d Down Culinary Festival. A new event announcement is expected in the coming weeks.
