Make the Most of Your Visit to Splashin’ Safari
There’s still time to make a splash!
Splashin’ Safari is the perfect destination for a day of exhilarating fun.
Whether you’re planning a family outing, a thrilling day with friends, or a relaxing solo adventure, Splashin’ Safari provides endless opportunities for excitement and enjoyment.
In this blog post, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know to ensure you are making the most of your visit.
Pack Smart
For starters, make sure you bring towels, water shoes, a waterproof fanny pack or dry bag for your valuables.
Be sure you have a change of dry clothes because you are required to be covered up while walking around Holiday World.
Don’t forget a credit or debit card for food or any additional purchases.
Strategize Attractions
There are a total of 16 attractions in the water park. This route will allow you to hit multiple attractions efficiently.
Start Here: Cheetah Chase > Wildebeest > Mammoth
I would always suggest starting with the Water Coasters as they are the MUST-TRY attractions and definitely worth the wait.
Cheetah Chase is the World’s first launched water coaster. Starting your day here will guarantee you a fast, exhilarating experience as you will be racing against another raft for a quick, drenching ride, and get you quickly adjusted to being in water and excited for the rest of the park rides!
Wildebeest was voted the World’s #1 water park ride for over 10 years! This is the perfect second ride to get on right after Cheetah Chase because it is just as exciting with its high drops, twists and turns, stretching an impressive ⅓ mile in length for a full 2.5 mins of soaking fun.
Mammoth is the World’s reigning #1 water park ride with 7 drops, and is the longest water coaster certified by Guinness World Records! So hold on tight with your friends and family for the thrilling ups and downs ahead of you! Friendly reminder, you will be SOAKED after this one!
What Else is Around?
Bakuli is in the same area as the water coasters. the high-speed spins make it an ideal ride after the water coasters.
If you’re visiting with small children, Kima Bay, Safari Sam’s SplashLand, Tembo Falls, and Tembo Tides are all ideal choices to check out, featuring shallow pool areas, gentle rides, and many other playful and interactive elements to allow kids experience the excitement in a safe and fun way before you make your way on to the next sections.
Need a break? Bahari River, Bahari Wave Pool, and The Wave are also in the same area, along with many food choices and free Oasis stations around.
Finishing Up the Day
Jungle Racer, Otorongo, Watubee, Zinga, and Zoombabwe are all close to Splashin’ Safari Plaza.
After a long day of soaking up the sun and lots of splashes, this is the perfect section to finish your day with. These rides are also super fun, but typically have shorter lines, and are close to the lockers. So when you are on your way out, you can minimize unnecessary delays and enjoy a smooth exit.
Pro Tip: Be sure to check the calendar. During the middle of summer, Splashin’ Safari stays open longer into the evening.
Consider Upgrades
Cabana and lounger reservations are available if you want a more comfortable and private space for the day. They can provide extra amenities like shaded lounges, a mini fridge, and locking safe. Cabanas sell out quickly so book your reservations early!
And there you have it—a guide to making the most of your one-day visit to Splashin’ Safari!
With a bit of planning and preparation, now you are ready to dive in, and make the most of every splash!
