Holidays in the Sky Returns to Holiday World with 500 Drones, Onboard Pyrotechnics, and Parody Song
Santa Claus, Ind. — Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari’s nighttime drone and fireworks spectacular, Holidays in the Sky, returns brighter than ever for the 2025 season. This year, 500 synchronized drones—a few carrying pyrotechnics—will light up the night for an even more unforgettable experience.
Holidays in the Sky is scheduled to fly nightly from Saturday, June 21, through Sunday, August 3, for a total of 44 nights. The show features two thrilling pyrotechnic moments: a lightning strike targeting a haunted house, and a rocket-shaped drone formation that erupts with fireworks to simulate a real rocket launch.
“We keep finding new ways to make Holidays in the Sky more impressive,” said Lauren Crosby, Director of Events & Entertainment. “The new pyrotechnic elements are taking the show to the next level–you truly have to see it to believe it!”
This year’s Thanksgiving section of the show features a new parody song, “Pour Some Gravy on Me.” Performed by Happy New Month Band from Evansville Indiana, the song features cleverly rewritten words to the classic “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” by Def Leppard. While the show will feature a short clip of the song, a full music video is available on Holiday World’s YouTube channel.
“What we do best at Holiday World is downright silliness,” says Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Director of Communications. “Happy New Month is full of such great talent and energy, and they served up a perfect performance, complete with ridiculous moments you just have to watch.”
