Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari offer a large selection of seasonal positions. We are looking for outgoing, hard-working individuals who understand and embrace our Cornerstones: Safety, Service, Cleanliness and Friendliness. Some positions possess minimum age requirements as mandated by State and Federal laws. Please read through the following information to see which job fits your personality, skill set, and interests.

Admissions
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Able to work indoors and outdoors in extreme heat, humidity and rain
- Able to stand for the duration of the shift (4 to 8 hours per day)
Are you friendly, outgoing, and love to meet people? Admissions Hosts & Hostesses greet our Guests, sell and scan tickets, enforce rules, answer Guest questions, measure children, and care for Guests' pets. Most shifts are from 8:30am to 12:30pm; average hours are generally 20 to 25 per week.
Bussing
- Must be at least 14 years old
- Able to walk for the duration of the shift (up to 8 hours)
- Able to bend
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Able to work in sunny, hot, humid and rainy conditions
- Able to perform Sweeper duties
Do you enjoy working outdoors? Bussers clean indoor and outdoor dining areas, sweep and pick up trash, wipe off tables, keep restaurant areas clean, collect trays, change trashcan liners, and interact with Guests. All Bussers are cross-trained to assist Sweepers. Shift times vary from day to day; normal Bussing operating hours are 9:30am to 30 minutes prior to Holiday World's closing time. Average hours are generally 25 to 40 per week. Hours are subject to change depending on weather conditions and attendance.
Call Center
- Must be at least 16 years old
- One (1) year of general experience at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari required
- Able to sit for long periods of time
- Able to use a computer efficiently
Do you enjoy talking on the phone? Call Center Hosts & Hostesses answer incoming telephone calls, take group ticket orders, file, and type. Shift times begin no earlier than 7:00am and end no later than Holiday World’s closing time. Average hours are generally 30 to 40 per week.
Employee Services
- Must be at least 18 years old
- One (1) year of general experience at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari preferred
- Available to work either a morning, midday, or evening shift on some Sundays
- Able to lift moderate-to-heavy objects
- Able to stand for most of the shift
Would you like to share your service-oriented attitude with our Hosts & Hostesses? Employee Services Hosts & Hostess sell uniforms and bus tickets, perform laundry services, and answer employee questions. Most shift times are 5 to 7 hours in length and usually start at 7:00am, 9:00am, or 2:00pm. Average hours are generally 20 to 40 per week.
Employee Transportation
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be CDL certified, with an Air Brakes endorsement preferred
- Must be able to travel over state lines
- Currently employed by a school system preferred
- Must be able to submit to pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must apply online plus bring this completed form to your Job Fair appointment
- Able to bend over and climb during pre-trip inspections
Do you drive a school bus? Employee Transportation Hosts & Hostesses deliver riders to and from pick-up and drop-off locations in neighboring communities, help off-duty Hosts & Hostesses gain access into the park, and assist Employee Services with laundry. Most shift times are 5:20am to 11:30am and 5:20 pm to 11:30 pm. Average hours are generally 15 to 40 per week. Drivers earn an additional $2.50 over base pay when driving any time between 4am and 6:59pm CT; drivers earn $3.50 over base pay when driving any time between 7pm and 3:59am CT.
Entertainment
- Costumed Characters must be at least 14 years old and less than 5’7” tall
- Entertainers in Musical Shows must be at least 16 years old
- Technicians must be at least 16 years old
Do you love to entertain people? Do you sing, dance, or both? If so, Entertainment may be the perfect choice for you. Perform in one of our musical shows, entertain young children as a costumed character, or work behind the scenes as a technician. All entertainment applicants, including Costumed Characters, must attend our Auditions on February 16 (noon to 4pm CST).
First Aid/EMT
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be an Indiana or Nationally Certified EMT
- Must be willing to work Saturdays and Sundays during the operating season
- Able to remain calm and keep composure during stressful situations
- Able to maintain private health information
Do you enjoy helping others? Emergency Medical Technicians provide emergency and non-emergency assistance in a professional manner to Guests and Hosts & Hostesses. Shift times vary from day to day, and average hours are generally 14 to 26 per week.
Food & Beverage
- Foods Cashiers must be at least 14 years old
- Foods Cooks must be at least 16 years old
- Drink Station Attendants must be at least 14 years old
- Able to accurately handle money and make change
- Able to stand for the duration of the shift
- Able to lift heavy objects
Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? Food and Beverage Hosts & Hostesses prepare, sell, and serve a variety of meals, snacks and drinks that keep our Guests refreshed and ready for fun. Duties include friendly and efficient cashiering, prepping and cooking food, cleaning in and around restaurants, plus cleaning and stocking drink stations. A wide range of shifts is available; average hours are generally 20 to 50 per week.

Do you love competition? Games Hosts & Hostesses attract our Guests to play a skill game and win a fun prize. Most shifts start at 9:00am, 2:00pm, and 3:00pm, and are generally 5 to 6 hours in length. Average hours are generally 20 to 30 per week.
Gift Shops
- Must be at least 14 years old
- Able to stand for the duration of the shift
- Able to lift moderate-to-heavy objects
- Able to accurately handle money and make change
Do you love to organize and help people with purchases? Merchandise Hosts & Hostesses stock, organize, rent, and sell many different types of merchandise items and services, operate photo equipment, and assist our Guests with purchasing choices. Most shifts are 8:45am to 3:00pm and 3:00 pm to Holiday World closing time. Average hours are generally 30 to 35 per week.
Grounds (Afternoon Shift)
- Must be at least 14 years old
- Must be at least 18 years old to drive tractors and Bobcat skid-steer loaders
- Able to climb stairs
- Able to lift moderate-to-heavy objects
- Able to work in all types of weather
Are you looking for an afternoon job? Grounds Hosts & Hostesses remove and replace trash-can liners during afternoon and evening operating hours. Most shifts are 1:00pm to 7:00pm; average hours are generally 20 to 35 per week. For those who operate tractors and Bobcat skid-steer loaders, most shifts are 1:00pm to 8:00pm and average hours are generally 25 to 40 per week.

Are you looking for an early-morning job? Grounds Hosts & Hostesses pick up litter, remove and replace trash-can liners, and blow and hose down walkways. Most shifts are 5:00am to 10:30am, 6:00am to 10:30am, and 7:00am to 10:30am. Average hours are generally 25 to 40 per week. Additional hours may be available upon request.

Grounds, Mowing
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to hold backpack leaf blower and weed eater
- Able to work outdoors in extreme heat and humidity
Do you enjoy working outdoors? Mowers operate walk-behind mowers and push mowers in and around the park. Most shifts are 6:00am to 2:30pm; average hours are generally 25 to 40 per week.

Lifeguard
- Must be at least 15 years old
- No previous experience required
- Able to stand for duration of shift
- Able to work outdoors in all types of weather
Do you love being outdoors? Lifeguards supervise our Guests’ behavior while they participate on water attractions, and assist them out of the water. Requirements include successfully completing Splashin' Safari's First Aid/CPR/Water Rescue training program plus attending mandatory training sessions. Most shifts are from 10:18am to 6:42pm; average hours are generally 30 to 40 per week.

Locker Rental

Are you looking for a fast-paced sales position? Locker Rental Hosts & Hostesses rent lockers and manage lost and found items in Splashin’ Safari. Most shift times are from 9:15am – 3:30pm and 3:30pm to Holiday World closing time. Average hours are generally 30 per week.
Maintenance
- Fuel & Lubrication Technicians must be at least 16 years old
- Pool Cleaning Technicians must be at least 16 years old
- Pool Filter Technicians must be at least 18 years old
- Slide Inspectors must be at least 16 years old
- Able to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Able to climb stairs, walk extensively, stand, lift, and bend throughout shift
Would you like to be involved in preparing the park for each day's operation? Maintenance Hosts & Hostesses fuel and lubricate rides, clean pools, help maintain pool filtering systems, and help inspect slides and pools each day before the parks open. Most shift times are from 5:30am to 10:30am, 6:30am – 10:30am, or 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Average hours are generally 24 per week.
Marketing Hosts and Hostesses
- Must be at least 18 years old
- One (1) year of general experience at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari required
Are you a business, advertising or communications major looking for a college internship? Marketing Host & Hostesses assist with data collection and entry, filing, and generating marketing reports. Shift times vary from day to day; average hours are 30 to 40 per week.
Morning Cleaning (Buildings & Facilities)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Able to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Able to walk extensively, stand, lift, and bend throughout shift
Are you looking for a job that gets you started early in the morning? Morning Cleaning Hosts & Hostesses thoroughly clean restrooms, gift shops, lunchrooms, and other designated areas before the parks open. Shift times start at 4:30am and end no later than 11:00am. Average hours are generally 25 to 35 per week.
Parking & Parking Security
- Parking attendants must be at least 14 years old
- Parking Security staff members must be at least 18 years old
- Able to be on foot throughout shift, including extensive walking
Do you enjoy being outside? Parking Hosts & Hostesses direct incoming and outgoing traffic in a swift but safe manner. Most shifts are between the hours of 7:45am and 9:00pm and are 3 to 4 hours in length. Average hours for parking staff are generally 15 to 35 per week. Some members of the parking staff will perform parking lot security. Parking Security Hosts & Hostesses patrol the parking lots, assist Guests with any needs, and assist Security by patrolling the Christmas section. Most shifts are 7 to 11 hours in length; average hours are 35 - 45 per week.

Picnics/Catering
- Must be at least 14 years old

Are you looking for weekend work? Picnics/Catering Hosts & Hostesses prepare and serve meals and drinks for company picnics and group outings. Duties include prepping and cooking food, serving drinks, and cleaning up after each event. Picnics/Catering Hosts & Hostesses must abide by health code rules and regulations. Most shifts are on weekends between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. Average hours are generally 15 to 30 per week.
Rides
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Able to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Able to stand, walk and bend throughout shift
Do you enjoy working outdoors with folks who like to ride rides? Ride operators are energetic, detail-oriented people who enjoy the challenge of moving Guests on and off of rides in a safe and efficient manner. Duties include enforcing safety rules and assisting our Guests on and off the rides. Ride operators must be quick thinking, with the ability to listen and watch riders and rides. Most shifts are from 9:18am to 3:30pm, 11:00am to Holiday World closing, 11:30am to Holiday World closing, and 3:30pm to Holiday World closing. Flexible schedules (1 to 6 days per week) are available. Average hours are generally 30 to 60 per week.

- Must be at least 18 years old

Do you stay calm in stressful situations? Security Hosts & Hostesses patrol and monitor company grounds, write reports, monitor internal telephone and radio communication, perform interviews and investigations, and assist Guests and the parking crew. Shift times vary throughout the day; some overnight hours are possible. Average hours are generally 35 to 50 per week.

Slide Attendant
- Must be at least 16 years old

- Able to climb stairs, pull fully loaded inner tubes and rafts, and stand throughout shift
Do you enjoy working with people and being outdoors? Slide Attendants assist our Guests onto inflatable tubes and enforce rules and regulations. Requirements include successfully completing Splashin' Safari's First Aid/CPR training program and attending mandatory training sessions. Most shifts are from 10:18am – 6:42 pm; average hours are generally 30 to 40 per week.

Would you like to stay in shape while you work? Sweepers clean walkways, ride lines, restrooms and smoking areas, pick up trash, and answer a lot of Guest questions. All Sweepers are cross-trained to assist Bussers. Shift times vary from day to day, normal Sweeping hours are 9:30am to Holiday World's closing time. Average hours are generally 25 to 40 per week. Hours are subject to chage, depending on weather conditions and attendance.

- Able to work in extreme temperatures (-15°F to 130°F) and weather conditions

Are you looking for very physical work? Warehouse Host & Hostesses load and unload trucks; operate equipment such as fork trucks, pallet jacks and hand trucks; stock shelves; rotate and count stock; and deliver products and packages to locations throughout the company. The daytime shift hours are between 7:00am and 6:00 pm; the nighttime shift hours are between 4:00pm and 5:00am. Average hours are 20 to 60 per week.
