Splashin’ Safari's sunscreen works

Hey there!

This is Cody K. I usually email you every year after my band trip to Holiday World. I got back from our trip on Saturday. It was a blast!

However, I got sunburned (again). The sad thing is that you all give out free sunscreen. LOL I did put a little on my upper back because that’s where I'm usually burned the worst and that's the only place that didn't get burned. HA! PROOF that Splashin’ Safari's sunscreen works.

I like the improvements to the park. Kima Bay will be most enjoyed by the little ones. I thought the Carousel was a good addition, except that the bumper boats were removed.

I have always been a chicken when it comes to roller coasters. The Raven was my first roller coaster ride when I was like 7, but I couldn't remember anything about it. So when I finally mustered up the courage to ride it again on this trip, I absolutely loved it. However, it was too late to go back and ride The Legend. But I definitely will ride it when I go with my family and who knows maybe I will ride the Voyage. (It’s still kinda big for me. LOL)

I hope I didn't discover some super secret about Holiday World but it seems that you all come out with a new roller coaster roughly every 5 years:

The Raven-1995
The Legend-2000
The Voyage-2006

So have you all gotten any ideas for a new coaster? Promise I won't tell anyone. And, what sort of ideas have you all thought of for 2009?

So, anyway, it was good emailing you again and I can't for the summer when I will visit again.

"Big Fan"

I have received my sunglasses. I want to thank you for sending them to me.

Thank You for taking the time to look over my lost and found report.

Your Holiday World employees are the best. They are friendly, caring, and go the extra mile to please their guests.

"Mommy, how time till Holiday World opens?"

I just wanted to send a quick note and THANK YOU for opening this
weekend.

We purchased season passes in OCTOBER last year for the 2008
season and I am pretty certain that my 4 year old son has asked me
everyday since, "Mommy, how time till Holiday World opens?" I was
never so happy to tell him 5 more days when he asked today.

Needless to say we will probably be the first ones through the gate on Saturday morning. SO THANK YOU!

And a big pat on the back from our family for maintaining such a beautiful park and most of all enforcing a SMOKE FREE environment. Our son is a chronic asthmatic and cannot be any where near cigarette smoke! He knows not to go near the designated smoking areas and we are grateful that there are no issues involving smoking throughout the remainder of the park.

So, THANK YOU! THANK YOU! and good luck on a successful 2008 season!

Looking forward to coming back

My family and myself came to Holiday World last May, the second weekend it was open. We enjoyed it so much that we came back in late August.

We have told numerous people about Holiday World, Santa's Candy Castle and Santa's Lodge.

One family of four went up after we told them and another came back with us in August.

We were impressed with everything, right from the entrance when Ms. Koch greeted us, to the friendly people asking us to come back at the end.

Looking forward to coming back in June during the weekend of the 7th thru the 9th, when we will be purchasing season tickets.

Thanks,

"Santa Land"

I was checking your website because I remember going to "Santa Land" as we used to call it, when I was a child. I lived in Hawesville, Kentucky, and Tell City, Indiana, from about 1968-1980. I still have pictures from my childhood visits there.

Seeing the archival footage brings back so many happy childhood memories. I am welling up with tears of joy from watching the footage.

I now live in Orange,Texas, and have not been back up that way in over 20 yrs. I still have family there in that general area. They have told me about taking their kids to what is now Holiday World. Maybe one day I will get to return and see it for myself.

It will always be "Santa Land" to me in my heart. I hope you can find even more archived footage from the old "Santa Land" that includes the doll house and other special places like that. I will keep checking your site to see if any are posted.

Thank you for the memories.

Dinners sound good!

My family would love to say a big thank you for bringing back the dinners you used to have in the Christmas Dining Room.

We have really missed the sit down dinners we had while visiting Holiday World. That sounds like what you've done in the new area of the park. We had so much time together at the diner getting our mammaw there just to eat in Kringle's Room. We have really missed that time and now we can do it again.

Can't wait for summer 2008

This is just to let you know how much I enjoy getting on your webpage.

There are a couple inches of snow on the ground here and it is very cold outside.

My two year old and I like to get on your webpage and he always says, “I’m ready to go to Holiday World this summer momma”.

We live in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, and always make it a point to visit your park at least three or four times a summer. My mother has taken me to Holiday World since I was two years old and now she and I enjoy bringing my two soon to be three year old to your park. We are looking forward to visiting this summer.

I also wanted to say how much we appreciate your park being very family friendly. Not only is it clean and have friendly workers, you also hold your guests to high expectations as well. We have been to several amusement parks and I always leave saying it just doesn’t even compare to Holiday World.

I look forward to bringing my son, and any more children I may have in the future, to your park!

Keep up the excellent work! And we can't wait to visit you summer 2008!

Beautiful, warm memories

Just a short line to thank you for such a wonderful environment that offers such beautiful, warm memories and fun for families to share and enjoy.

Also, thank you for being what seems to be a true example of a corporation that respects and values their employees' contributions.

May the blessings that be always share a part of such a warm environment and hearts.....amen.
